Connection issues

If your PC and smartphone do not connect, then you should try to turn off the Airplane mode.

Disable the Airplane Mode

For Android

  1. Go to the Notifications screen.

  1. Navigate to the lower right-hand edge of the toolbar.
  2. Select the Network option.
  3. Now, simply disable the Airplane mode.

Disable Metered Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Open the Settings app.

  5. Disable the metered Wi-Fi network.

Turn off battery saver on the computer

  1. Go to the Settings screen.

For Android

  1. Launch the Your Phone Companion app by tapping on it.
  2. Now, hit the gear icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Select Accounts from the Settings screen.
  4. Now, just log in to the Microsoft account.

For Windows 10

  1. Launch the Settings app.
  2. Now, select Accounts.
  3. Choose the Your Info option.
  4. Check whether the right Microsoft account is being used.

How to allow background apps?

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Now, just select Privacy.
  3. Press the Background apps option.
  4. Enable the Your Phone option.
  5. Check your phone message issue
  6. Launch the Settings screen.
  7. Select the Notifications option.
  8. Now, scroll through the apps and select Your Phone Companion.

  1. Launch the texting application.
